We take copyright seriously — both ours and yours. Every word and image on PetWise Daily is created or properly licensed by our team, and we expect the same respect for creators’ rights everywhere. “DMCA” can sound intimidating, so here’s the plain-English version: if you believe your copyrighted work appears on this site without permission, this page tells you exactly how to report it and what happens next.

What We Own

All content on PetWise Daily — articles, guides, graphics, and original photography — is the property of PetWise Daily unless stated otherwise. It’s protected by copyright law. You may share our articles by linking to them, but you may not copy, republish, or redistribute our content without written permission.

How We Source Images

We use images from these legitimate sources only:

  • Original photography and graphics created by our team
  • Licensed stock photography from reputable libraries, used within their license terms
  • Manufacturer and brand press images used for product review and commentary purposes

If you spot an image on our site that you believe is yours and improperly used, please tell us — we’d rather fix it fast than argue about it.

How to Report Copyright Infringement

Under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), a valid infringement notice must include:

  1. Identify your work — describe the copyrighted material you own (a link to the original helps)
  2. Identify the infringing material — the exact URL(s) on petwisedaily.com where it appears
  3. Your contact information — name, email address, and phone number
  4. Good-faith statement — a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by you, your agent, or the law
  5. Accuracy statement — a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them
  6. Your signature — a physical or electronic signature

A word of caution: filing a false DMCA claim has legal consequences. Only submit a notice if you genuinely believe your copyright has been infringed — when in doubt, talk to a lawyer first, not us.

What Happens After You Report

  • We review every valid notice promptly
  • Material found to infringe is removed or disabled without unnecessary delay
  • We may notify the party responsible for the material about the complaint

Counter-Notifications

If your material was removed because of a DMCA notice and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notification including:

  1. Your name, address, phone number, and email
  2. Identification of the removed material and where it appeared
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification
  4. Your consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal court
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

Repeat Infringers

We have a simple policy: accounts or contributors who repeatedly post infringing material lose the privilege to contribute. We don’t get many chances to enforce this — our content is created in-house — but the rule stands.
